Historical Truxtun Civic League

The Old Truxtun Community League founded in June of 1978  celebrated Truxtun's  76th Anniversary  in May of 1995.. Hundred attended this historical event.

The program at Mt Carmel Church included a proclamation from the city of Portsmouth  presented by  Mayor Gloria Webb,a song by Truxtun favorite  singing group CaReam  and a selection by Cassandra Robinson Stancil .

Horace Salvage introduced the keynote speaker
