Historical Truxtun Civic League

The 2008  Truxtun Reunion was held the last Saturday in February 2008 at the Edmonds Center.The 2008 event was a salute to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.  Andrew Chapman gave the opening Prayer,Rev. Johnnie Drake lead the Memorial Ceremony,Horace Savage Jr. spoke on Truxtun Yesterday,Today and Tomorrow..National Jazz Recording artist Phyllis Domingue performed God Bless the Child, and Phyllis Augus and keynote speaker Billy Mclntryre gave a presentation on the history of Truxtun  and its relationship with the Norfolk Naval shipyard. several new members were inducted into the Historical Truxtun Wall of Fame.
