Historical Truxtun Civic League

The first  Truxtun Reunion  was a salute to Truxtun  School. It was attended by over 400  .
The 2007 Truxtun Reunion was held the last Saturday in February 2007 at the Edmonds Center.

It was the first major formal gathering of Truxtun residents since 1995. This event was a huge success. Horace Savage Jr was the Master of Ceremony,Rev. Alvin Rooks was the keynote speaker,National recording stars Mary and Joseph performed .The pastors from all four area churches joined and supported the event. Pastor Knight(Mt Carmel ) Pastor Edmonds (St. Mark) Rev Jones of Noble st and Rev. Hicks of Mt.Zion.Awards were presented to many community leaders, a special memorial ceremony was held for those who pasted on, Beverly Gray presented a salute to Truxtun School ,the school song was sung,a video of growing up in Truxtun was shown during dinner and the first  members of the  Historical Truxtun  Wall of  Fame were inducted.
