HISTORIC

Since 1919 Truxtun has been a community of strong proud families. Many Truxtun residents married their childhood sweethearts also from Truxtun and started families and continued to live in Truxtun.

Many Truxtun families have lived in the neighborhood for over 50 years. In the late 70's families began to move because of the size of the homes and Truxtun began to decline. The vision of Lucy Overton and the Old Truxtun Community League reversed this trend.
