THE NAVY BAND, BOY SCOUTS AND FEDERAL OFFICALS ATTEND OPENING OF TRUXTUN
Joseph A. Thomas chairman of the committee of arrangements and program committee gives the following information for the opening of Truxtun
7am committee meet boats and trains bring in out of town guest..
10am all cars to be used for sight seeing trip will report to park on the southside of Key Road and Deep Creek Blvd. All cars will be facing the south
11am Cars will leave Truxttun via Manley St. west and encircle the town east to Deep Creek Blvd.to Naval Hospital,Naval Ship Yard ,Cradock and back to Truxtun
12:30 Dinner will be served
2pm Navy Band Play...W.H. Jennings the Master Of Ceremonies Invocation by Rev. A.S. Lomax

The streets were laid out with further expansion in mind for parks and playgrounds. a school,Y.M.C.A, stores,a movie theatre and a church
